Quality Engineer – Mobile Test Automation (Android)

About the role

Perform is seeking a Quality Engineer specialized in mobile test automation to support a food‑industry client’s internal commerce applications. The role focuses on building and maintaining automated test suites for Android using Appium, with opportunities to expand into broader quality platform initiatives as the testing infrastructure evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Android applications using Appium.
• Write and execute automated tests covering core commerce flows such as ordering, payments, account management, and related transactions.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively detect defects before production release.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to shared quality platform work, including tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure that scale testing across multiple teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on production experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
• Strong Android testing experience on real devices and emulators.
• Experience building test automation for commerce or transactional applications.
• Solid programming fundamentals in Java, Kotlin, Python, or a comparable language.
• Comfort working in a CI/CD‑integrated test environment.
