Sr Technical Architect

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for a Senior Enterprise Integration Architect to join the Enterprise Integration (EI) Architecture team. You will design integration solutions, guide API‑led reuse, and ensure project architectures align with the company’s modernization strategy across cloud and on‑premise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design integration solutions and estimate implementation costs for EI projects.
• Support API‑led design methodology to enable reusable APIs across the landscape.
• Review and approve technical architecture for integration projects.
• Contribute to monitoring, upgrade, and migration strategies for integration platforms.
• Provide technical guidance to on‑shore and off‑shore development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years architecting API‑based integration solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile delivery, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Required skills

• API design and management (RAML or OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Azure Integration Services – APIM, Logic Apps, ESB, AppInsights, Observability.
• Integration platforms such as MuleSoft or similar.
• Cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, iPaaS) and related security (identity, authentication, encryption).
• Networking fundamentals – VPC, VPN, load balancers.
• Experience with SFTP, EDI, web services, and CI/CD pipelines.
