Military Case Manager (Disability and Leave Services)

About the role

The DLS Military Case Manager is the single point of contact for Amazon employees who experience leave of absence or disability events, covering the U.S. and the rest of the world. The role provides comprehensive case management, answers employee questions, applies the right benefits and adapts to changing circumstances.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and respond to military leave and disability inquiries, and provide holistic case management
• Deliver updates to employees and stakeholders and calculate payments using system formulas
• Review military documentation and adjudicate leaves, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and Amazon policies
• Maintain accurate system records and adapt case management plans to changing needs
• Handle sensitive situations, troubleshoot barriers and solve problems with limited information
• Facilitate return-to-work transitions and educate managers and business partners
• Partner with third-party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits and other departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of customer service experience, or HR or a related field
• Preferred: 2+ years of human resources functions experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Required skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Preferred: knowledge of HRIS or applicant tracking systems, and experience with payroll systems
