Seasonal Senior Advisor, Bereavement Centralization

About the role

The MHLS Bereavement Centralization Team is hiring a seasonal Senior Advisor to support its Bereavement Centralization program. The team provides compassionate, personalized support to Amazon employees navigating bereavement leave, helping them understand their rights and options. Advisors work across phone, chat, ticketing and case channels, guiding employees through the Bereavement Policy with empathy and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, real-time support to employees' questions about the Bereavement Policy and Bereavement Time Off.
• Guide employees through the policy with clarity and compassion.
• Handle inbound and outbound phone, chat and case support through the Specialized Support Queues.
• Assess and adjust the case management plan to match an employee's changing needs.
• Address sensitive situations and de-escalate complex cases while protecting the employee experience.
• Manage your own workload to meet productivity goals and escalate when workload gaps arise.
• Keep employees and stakeholders informed regularly, verbally and in writing.
• Ensure compliance with standard work, federal/state regulations and company policy, and keep system records accurate and up to date.
• Partner with internal teams and site PXT for seamless support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 1+ years of professional experience.
• 1+ years of human resources experience.
• Experience with HR processes and systems.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays; fluent English speaking, writing and reading.
• Preferred: experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, a degree in Social Work or Health and Human Services, and 1+ years as an HRBP, Case Manager or in benefits.

• Familiarity with case management systems and benefits eligibility review (preferred)
