Líder de Producción – Área de Grinding

About the role

Tegra Medical Costa Rica is seeking a Production Leader for the Grinding area. The role combines strong technical expertise in precision mechanics with the ability to guide a team toward production, quality, and efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate production activities and allocate resources according to area priorities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the Grinding team.
• Achieve defined indicators for production output, quality, efficiency, scrap rates, and documentation.
• Ensure all personnel have the necessary training, knowledge, and tools to perform their duties.
• Analyze technical and operational issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Guarantee compliance with procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and occupational safety regulations.
• Foster a collaborative work environment based on communication, respect, and teamwork.

Required profile

• Completed Production Supervisor training or program (mandatory).
• At least 4 years of proven leadership experience in precision mechanics environments (mandatory).
• Strong technical knowledge of precision mechanics processes, preferably in grinding (mandatory).
• Ability to analyze technical problems, make decisions, and support the team.
• Availability to work the afternoon shift.
• Experience in the medical‑device industry and familiarity with ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 are a plus.
