Gerente General – Empresa Costarricense

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager to lead a prominent Costa Rican company with manufacturing and commercial operations. The role will drive overall strategy, growth, profitability and sustainability while working closely with the Executive President and Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with long‑term objectives.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cash‑flow management, profitability analysis and investment decisions.
• Lead corporate governance activities, collaborating with the Board on control, monitoring and audit functions.
• Manage and align senior management teams across all business units.
• Ensure compliance with both domestic and free‑zone regulatory regimes in Costa Rica.
• Make high‑impact decisions and handle complex business situations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience as General Manager or senior executive with full P&L responsibility.
• Extensive background in family‑owned businesses, interacting with owners, executive leadership and boards.
• Strong expertise in strategic planning, financial administration and corporate governance.
• Advanced English proficiency.
