VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer – Remote

About the role

ITTConnect is looking for a VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer to work remotely for a US‑based client. The specialist will design, deploy and support modern VMware infrastructure, building stable and scalable environments with vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T and SRM while enabling hybrid‑cloud capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage VMware Cloud Foundation, including management and workload domains.
• Implement and optimise vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX and SRM.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage and network virtualization issues.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks and risk assessments.
• Produce documentation and operational hand‑off materials.
• Support disaster‑recovery architecture, testing and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• Fluent English – all interviews conducted in English.
• Expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, preferably with migration experience from VCF 5 to VCF 9.
• Experience with large‑scale VMware deployments and consulting or client‑facing roles.

Required skills

• VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX, SRM.
• Automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with HCI platforms (e.g., Dell VxRail).
• Exposure to public clouds – AWS, Azure, GCP – and hybrid integrations.
• Knowledge of backup/storage solutions like PowerStore or Veeam.
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, VCIX) preferred.
