Senior Risk Manager, Finance Operations Risk

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join the Finance Operations Risk, Governance & Experience (FORGE) team, supporting the Finance Operations (FinOps) Controllership. The role leads high-impact audits and risk programs focused on Global Real Estate & Facilities, and oversees projects such as inspections, risk assessments and advisory services that shape process and control design. It also involves preparing findings, engaging stakeholders on action items and presenting risk trade-offs to senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments of the organization and run end-to-end audits, including scoping, fieldwork and reporting
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of FinOps controls and prepare policy and process exception reports
• Write clear audit reports, executive narratives and leadership-ready communications, and present findings to directors and above
• Provide training on controllership policies and requirements, and support ad hoc inspections and reviews
• Offer strategic advice on risk-related business and technology decisions and help prioritize mitigation investments
• Lead scoping, planning and execution of complex audits and risk programs, define success criteria and metrics, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive remediation
• Influence stakeholders to adopt scalable, automated controls and reduce recurring risks

Required profile

• 7+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred: Master's degree or equivalent
• Fluent speaking, writing and reading in English
• Preferred: experience at consulting firms, experience working across teams, and experience in finance roles or improving finance tools and processes
