Senior FAST Lead – Accounting to Report (A2R/Close)

About the role

Vantive is seeking a senior leader for its Finance Application Systems Transformation (FAST) team. The FAST Sr. Lead will own the design, operation, and continuous improvement of finance application and master‑data capabilities for Accounting to Report (A2R) and the financial close within the J.D. Edwards (JDE) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead General Ledger and period‑close system enablement, ensuring alignment with accounting standards, controls, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, costing, and valuation system enablement in partnership with Tax, Controllership, and Finance policy owners.
• Own posting logic, valuation and revaluation processes (including AAIs, FX, and inventory valuation) to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
• Configure and maintain legal entity structures and finance hierarchies within finance systems.
• Manage close‑critical interfaces, dependencies, and systemic risks to ensure end‑to‑end data integrity throughout the financial close cycle.
• Act as the top FAST functional escalation point for issues affecting close, statutory reporting, audit outcomes, or regulatory compliance.
• Provide L2 support, conduct functional analysis, impact assessments, and validation of system fixes.
• Lead executive communications on risks, dependencies, system health, and strategic recommendations.
• Coach FAST Leads across multiple finance domains without formal people‑management responsibility.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance application systems, preferably J.D. Edwards (JDE) or comparable ERP platforms.
• Deep knowledge of General Ledger, period‑close, transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, and valuation processes.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross‑functional issues and drive resolution under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in functional analysis, impact assessment, and validation of system changes.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholder and executive briefings.
