RTR Specialist II – General Ledger Accounting

About the role

The RTR Specialist II is responsible for executing core accounting activities within the General Ledger function. You will handle large volumes of journal entries, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, and support audit processes while driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post manual journal entries as requested.
• Compile monthly and quarterly accruals.
• Execute monthly and quarterly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Meet SLA‑based targets and deliverables.
• Conduct knowledge‑transfer activities.
• Identify and propose process‑improvement opportunities.
• Support internal and external audit engagements.
• Participate in monthly financial‑statement reporting.
• Develop analyses and information for business units as needed.

Required profile

• More than two years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in a shared‑services environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and key financial indicators.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions to meet shared objectives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and project‑management tools for continuous‑improvement projects.
