Human Resources Specialist (Costa Rica)

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will provide administrative support to the HR team of TransPerfect Connect, ensuring smooth workflow for employee onboarding, payroll coordination, and HR inquiries. This role serves front‑line employees, supervisors, and senior management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• On‑board U.S. employees and conduct new‑hire orientation.
• Maintain personnel records and HRIS data in Workday.
• Run scheduled reports and handle ad‑hoc data requests.
• Coordinate with Payroll and Benefits for payroll close preparation.
• Liaise with Recruitment to transition candidates from pre‑hire to hire.
• Respond to unemployment claims and employee verification requests.
• Answer employee and supervisor questions regarding policies and procedures.
• Support Open Enrollment activities and prepare paychecks for distribution.
• Perform special projects and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent HR experience.
• 0‑1 years of experience in an HR environment or recent graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to handle confidential information.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
