GDC Team Lead - Accounts Payable

About the role

As the Team Lead for Payment Services within Newmont’s Global Delivery Center, you will oversee end‑to‑end accounts payable and travel & expense (T&E) operations. You will ensure payments are processed accurately and on time while driving compliance, efficiency and continuous improvement across global finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end payment and T&E processes, meeting service level agreements.
• Monitor key performance indicators, identify gaps and implement performance improvements.
• Resolve critical issues and escalations promptly.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team.
• Serve as primary contact for global stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
• Drive process standardisation through root‑cause analysis and gap identification.
• Manage workload, capacity and resources based on operational demand.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and SOX requirements, maintaining audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Payments or T&E operations.
• Knowledge of SAP (MM/AP) and expense tools such as Concur.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience in shared services or global delivery environments preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
