Financial Master Data Analyst

About the role

Viatris, a global healthcare company, is hiring a Financial Master Data (FMD) Analyst for its Costa Rica office. The analyst creates and maintains financial master data in the company's systems in line with policies, procedures and the master data governance model, supports approval tables, reviews and improves maintenance processes, and supports project implementations. The position is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain financial master data such as approval flow mapping, Chart of Accounts, cost centers and profit centers, bank keys, foreign exchange rates and financial statement versions.
• Maintain approver settings for the Global E-Procurement tool, Legal Contracts Management tool and invoice approval routing/reconciliation tool.
• Collect master data, financial reporting mapping and approval mappings for various systems, and evaluate data so processes run efficiently.
• Manage user requests for new or changed master data, prioritizing them by SLA, and track assigned requests.
• Maintain training material, process documentation and forms, and give guidance and training to users.
• Solve issues and perform data and risk analysis of low, medium and high complexity, and support ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations and consolidations.
• Support Approval & Authorizations (CFA) activities, collaborate with the FMD virtual team, and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (2-4 years).
• 2-4 years of experience in a finance-related industry; finance, accounting or FP&A experience preferred.
• English B2 minimum; Portuguese is a plus.
• Ability to read and write complex business documents and present to a group.

Required skills

• Knowledge of chart of accounts and Hyperion or other financial reporting tools.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Awareness of SOX compliance and US GAAP.
• SAP experience preferred.
