Accounts Payable Analyst

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies, a medical device company based in Costa Rica, is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst I. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in Epicor while supporting the Accounting Services Manager and Accounting Director with accounts payable, general accounting and financial analysis activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in Epicor or similar ERP systems, with accurate data entry, three-way matching and compliance with accounting controls.
• Manage weekly payment runs, wire transfers and monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
• Record monthly expense accruals and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and subledgers.
• Collaborate with suppliers, buyers and warehouse supervisors to resolve invoice discrepancies and AP issues.
• Support internal and external audits, corporate inquiries and the preparation and issuance of 1099 reports.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with IAS, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Assist the Accounting Services Manager with budget preparation and monitoring, and help implement accounting systems and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Advanced English (B2+ required, C1 preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience with the complete accounting cycle.
• Certified CPI (Certified Accountant by the Colegio de Contadores Privados de Costa Rica) and knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IAS, IFRS and applicable local legislation.
• Attention to detail, analytical and numerical skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
