Supervisor, Invoice Processing AP

About the role

Baxter is looking for a Supervisor of Invoice Processing within its Accounts Payable function. The supervisor leads a team of about 10 to 15 invoice processors, ensures service level agreements are met and drives a culture of service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise invoice entry, debit and credit memos so that invoices are recorded accurately and processed on time
• Perform data entry and keying into payable systems as needed
• Assist the team with VAT and invoice coding, ensuring the correct general ledger accounts and VAT taxes are applied
• Maintain a high-performing team, providing training suited to each member's needs and abilities
• Help the team meet daily processing quotas while maintaining quality
• Coach staff, review performance and approve employee evaluations for completeness and fairness
• Resolve invoice processing exceptions and escalations
• Organize team meetings and provide leadership to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Partner with in-country personnel to resolve issues and enforce agreed channel strategies
• Work with Customer Services to distribute the invoice processing workload across the two functions
• Handle record retention, tracking and reporting for tax purposes in line with policy
• Identify solutions for continuous process improvement and propose changes to Accounts Payable policies and procedures
• Support the transition of additional countries into the GBS and contribute to performance metrics

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public accounting, finance or business administration
• 5+ years of experience in related fields, including at least two years in an Accounts Payable team
• Advanced English (B2)
• Ability to plan, assign and direct work while meeting strict deadlines

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of the invoice processing function and proficiency in the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
• Understanding of Accounts Payable best practices
• Knowledge of Power BI, reporting tools and AI technologies to improve AP processes
