Credit & Risk Supervisor

About the role

The Credit & Risk Supervisor will lead the credit and collections team, shaping strategies to minimise bad debt and protect the company’s financial health. This office‑based position in Costa Rica requires strong leadership, analytical insight and the ability to work closely with sales, accounts receivable and external collection agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach credit analysts and collections professionals, setting priorities and monitoring performance.
• Develop and enforce credit and collections policies, evaluate consumer and commercial credit risk, and create strategies to reduce write‑offs.
• Prepare and analyse ageing, credit hold, bad debt and new credit application reports.
• Partner with Sales, Accounts Receivable and third‑party agencies to resolve credit, chargeback and cash‑application issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• More than five years of credit or collections experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and C1 English proficiency.
• Experience in multi‑site manufacturing and B2B environments is strongly preferred.
