Finance Expert – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are seeking experienced Finance and Accounting Professionals to work remotely as contractors on a customer project focused on accounting operations, financial reporting, and ERP systems. You will evaluate and improve AI‑generated accounting outputs and contribute to training data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
• Identify errors, misstatements, and inconsistencies, providing clear rationales and corrections.
• Review accounting workflows across platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, and Dynamics 365.
• Apply written rubrics to rank and grade AI responses, and create realistic accounting scenarios for model training.
• Provide actionable feedback to improve AI model performance and overall financial accuracy.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in financial accounting, audit, bookkeeping, or FP&A with substantial accounting responsibilities.
• Proven track record preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Prior paid experience in AI training, data annotation, labeling, or rubric‑based evaluation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication (B2 level or higher) and ability to work independently.

• NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics 365 (or comparable ERP systems)
• Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with BlackLine, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Avalara, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI (optional)
• AI training / human data evaluation techniques
