Commercial Analyst (Business Strategy)

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support its business strategy function. The role will work on moderately complex analyses that inform acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and other commercial agreements, helping drive profitable growth across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Structure business problems, develop hypotheses and conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to answer strategic questions.
• Assess industry structures, business models and profit drivers to synthesize insights for strategic direction.
• Develop data‑driven recommendations, linking them to financial and execution plans to create value.
• Prepare target lists and insights for acquisition, joint‑venture and divestiture opportunities.
• Implement strategy execution plans and manage workstream activities to meet timelines and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
• Produce clear written and verbal communications summarizing analyses and findings for decision‑makers.

Required profile

• Commercial mindset with strong business acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.
