Systems Administrator – Infrastructure, Virtualization & Network

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and optimise our enterprise IT infrastructure. The role covers Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, network devices, firewalls, VPNs and backup solutions. The position is hybrid, with three days on‑site in Escazu and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and support Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage core services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, Nutanix) including migrations, upgrades and HA configurations.
• Configure and support enterprise networking equipment – switches, routers, VLANs, wireless and routing technologies.
• Manage firewalls and VPN solutions, applying security policies and access controls.
• Administer backup and disaster‑recovery solutions, performing validation and recovery testing.
• Monitor system, network and infrastructure performance, troubleshooting complex issues.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure projects and vendor coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on systems administration and infrastructure support.
• Proven experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V or Nutanix.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs and backup/disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Fluent English for daily communication and interviews.
