Firewall Security Engineer

About the role

Insulet is seeking a motivated Firewall Security Engineer to join its Global Network Infrastructure team. The role will initially be remote, supporting both local Costa Rica operations and Insulet’s worldwide firewall environment, before transitioning to an onsite arrangement once the new facility is operational.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise and manufacturing firewall infrastructure to ensure security, availability, and optimal performance.
• Configure, implement, and administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect following industry best practices.
• Perform lifecycle management, including software upgrades, patches, and hardware refreshes.
• Implement firewall and security policy changes through established Change Management processes.
• Document network security architectures, configurations, and operational procedures, and support disaster recovery and incident response activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls and network security technologies.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect preferred; certification a plus.
• Understanding of access control, security policy management, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and secure remote access.
• Experience in manufacturing, OT, or highly available environments is advantageous.
