Senior Applications Support Analyst

About the role

The Senior Applications Support Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi applications, ensuring quick issue resolution and driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness across the firm. The role combines deep disciplinary knowledge with strong analytical and communication skills to manage production applications in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support production applications, performing start‑of‑day checks, continuous monitoring and regional handovers.
• Execute same‑day risk reconciliations and develop technical support documentation.
• Assess risk and impact of production issues, escalating to business and technology management as needed.
• Participate in application releases, from development through testing to production deployment, and conduct post‑implementation analysis.
• Partner with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and tooling requirements.
• Act as liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups and vendors, providing guidance and coaching to junior analysts.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications.
• Willingness and ability to learn programming languages.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
