QA Engineer

About the role

Moody's is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to lead test automation, data validation, and AI‑assisted testing initiatives across multiple technology stacks. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure high‑quality releases for our risk‑assessment platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and backend tests using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) and related frameworks.
• Implement test automation across JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and Python codebases with TestNG and Pytest.
• Integrate AI‑driven tools such as Playwright MCP and GitHub Copilot Agent Mode to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
• Write complex SQL queries for data validation, multi‑system reconciliation, and data‑warehouse testing.
• Develop and execute API tests using Postman and REST API automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with CI/CD pipelines, manage GitHub branching strategies, and conduct pull‑request reviews.
• Perform performance testing and leverage Microsoft Fabric components (dataflows, lakehouses, semantic models) for data‑centric validation.
• Document defects, troubleshoot data issues, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as an SDET with a strong focus on test automation and data testing.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable test code.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within Agile/Scrum teams.
