Cybersecurity Engineer – Data

About the role

Moody's is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer focused on data to design, build, and operate the data pipelines and cloud infrastructure that power its security data platforms. You will enable reliable collection, transformation, and delivery of security data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions for cybersecurity data.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Pulumi, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Automate data workflows and ensure high availability of production data systems.
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate security event data and support analytics.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure deployments.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or database administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience operating production data systems at scale.
• Interest in AI concepts and responsible AI practices.

Required skills

• SQL and relational/database‑warehouse technologies.
• Python and/or JavaScript for pipeline development.
• AWS cloud services.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Pulumi, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Data modeling, schema design, and data normalization.
• ETL and data pipeline architecture.
• CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Splunk or Cribl (preferred).
