Wireless Network Support Engineer II

About the role

The Wireless Network Support Engineer II provides advanced technical support for enterprise wireless networking environments, troubleshooting complex WLAN and connectivity issues while collaborating with engineering teams to drive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless connectivity, performance, authentication, and network‑related issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise wireless access points and WLAN environments, including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and WPA2/WPA3.
• Diagnose Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and ARP.
• Analyze logs, packet captures and other diagnostic data to identify root causes.
• Manage technical customer escalations and communicate timely updates.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to resolve complex issues and identify product defects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in technical support, network engineering, TAC, NOC or wireless networking.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise wireless networks, access points and WLAN solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Wi‑Fi standards 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X authentication.
• RADIUS/AAA, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, ARP.
• Linux troubleshooting, Wireshark packet analysis.
• Python or network automation scripting.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CWNA, Aruba or Juniper.
