Datacenter Engineer – L3/ERT (Hybrid)

About the role

The Datacenter Engineer – L3/ERT supports Aruba networking products for HPE customers. The position works in a 24x7 environment with hybrid work‑mode, requiring two days per week onsite at the Heredia office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for Aruba Networking, including data‑center technologies and remote resolve processes.
• Lead technical problem management, develop action plans, and communicate resolutions to customers, engineers, and managers.
• Contribute to projects that improve product support, customer satisfaction, and team efficiency.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in networking, with at least 3 years supporting data‑center technologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Ability to work across shifts in a dynamic 24x7 environment and collaborate with global teams.

Required skills

• Routing, Switching, Spine‑and‑Leaf and 3‑layer (Access, Distribution, Core) architectures.
• Knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, VPNv4 and other VPN technologies.
• Experience with IEEE 802.1x, MAC authentication, REST APIs, NAE and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Aruba OS, Aruba OS‑CX, Comware, and basic WLAN (802.11 standards, controllers, APs).
• Optional certifications: Cisco CCIE‑DC, Aruba ACSP.
