Sr. Network Security Operations Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Security Operations Engineer will own the design, implementation, and operation of large‑scale network infrastructure across more than 1,000 sites and multiple data centers, ensuring five‑nine availability. The role blends deep networking expertise with DevOps, Agile and Waterfall practices to deliver secure, high‑volume cloud and on‑premise solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and deployment of complex network infrastructure, including data‑center, LAN, WAN, wireless, VOIP, and security platforms.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and cross‑functional IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Drive physical architecture design, develop standards and procedures, and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and coordinate resources to meet project deadlines.
• Evaluate existing systems, recommend improvements, and assess ROI for new services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) and at least six years of IT operations experience.
• Minimum three years of network infrastructure planning, design, and implementation, with at least one year in a technical leadership role.
• Experience working in large, matrixed organizations and with ITIL frameworks.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching, firewalls, load balancing, and VOIP/PBX technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with network diagnostic and management tools.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and configuration management software.
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCDP/CCDA, and ISSEP/CISSP (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL processes.
