Test Technician – Board Repair Specialist

About the role

Teradyne is seeking a Test Technician to perform debug, repair, and quality assurance on defective electronic boards. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, component‑level repairs, and supporting production flow in an ESD‑safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Debug and repair defective boards, applying preventative maintenance and calibration.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify physical damage or missing components.
• Document product data accurately across multiple databases.
• Test and troubleshoot multi‑layer boards using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to locate failures.
• Perform component‑level repairs using soldering tools and precision instruments.
• Support Final Visual Inspection by preparing products and executing functional tests.
• Maintain ESD protocol proficiency and knowledge of component types (SMD, through‑hole, DIP, PLCC).
• Collaborate with Engineering to drive process optimization and quality improvements.
