Production Supervisor – Shift A

About the role

CooperSurgical is seeking a Production Supervisor for Shift A to coordinate manufacturing activities, ensure quality and safety, and lead a team of cell leaders. The role includes payroll ownership, employee development, and participation in equipment and process transfer projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all manufacturing activities for assigned production cells and adjust staffing to meet daily requirements.
• Develop and apply performance metrics for individuals and the department.
• Coach, train, and appraise shift personnel; assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Handle employee‑relations issues in partnership with HR and management.
• Oversee quality, cost, and schedule targets to satisfy internal and external customers.
• Troubleshoot process problems and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with technicians and engineers.
• Run production equipment, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.
• Administer payroll for production staff using Kronos and resolve first‑level salary inquiries.
• Support equipment and operator knowledge transfer, as well as production validation activities.
• Coordinate break schedules in line with production needs and cafeteria availability.

Required profile

• At least two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and self‑starting abilities.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to travel to the United States for training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience using the Kronos payroll system.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred).
