About the role

The Government Audits and VAT Refunds Analyst manages tax audits, government inquiries, and VAT recovery processes across assigned countries, ensuring accurate and timely responses to tax authorities while supporting tax controversy matters.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tax audits, examinations, and reviews conducted by tax, customs, and other governmental authorities.
• Prepare and review audit responses, tax authority inquiries, and supporting documentation, monitoring timelines to ensure accurate and on‑time submissions.
• Track audit findings, assessments, and resolutions, supporting implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare, submit, and track VAT refund claims and recovery processes across assigned jurisdictions.
• Reconcile VAT credit balances with tax returns and accounting records, identifying opportunities to accelerate recoveries and improve cash flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, internal control or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in tax, audit or internal control, including managing multiple tax returns across several countries.
• Strong accounting knowledge with ability to reconcile tax information against statutory records.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
