Systems Administrator II – VDI Operations Engineer

About the role

The Systems Administrator II – VDI Ops Engineer provides first‑level support for enterprise systems, monitors stability and performance, and assists with hardware and software changes. This individual contributor works cross‑functionally to resolve incidents, support project teams, and ensure continuous improvement of the VDI environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze the availability, stability, and performance of enterprise systems, including applications, networks, databases, storage, and security components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve first‑level incidents to minimize system downtime.
• Support technical and project teams in resolving application‑specific issues.
• Assist with data extraction from databases for reporting purposes.
• Participate in the implementation, upgrade, and decommissioning of hardware and software components.
• Maintain documentation, perform maintenance and refresh activities, and adhere to change‑management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, OR minimum two years of IT/operations experience.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement (three years experience in lieu of a degree, totaling five years overall).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate progress effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to escalate issues when necessary.
