Software Engineer – Workflow Annotation (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Software Engineer to design and document realistic software‑engineering workflows. This contract position involves creating multi‑step task scenarios that mirror everyday engineering activities and capturing every decision point in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design and author detailed, multi‑step task scenarios reflecting authentic software engineering activities.
• Execute and document each workflow in real time using actual development tools.
• Integrate collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) to build end‑to‑end scenarios.
• Produce clear, structured documentation that outlines step sequencing and expected outcomes.
• Identify ambiguous or unrealistic scenarios, flag them to the data program team, and refine workflows based on feedback.
• Submit deliverables and collaborate with project leads via the internal annotation platform.

Required profile

• Strong experience in software engineering with daily use of GitHub‑centered workflows.
• Excellent written English with a focus on clarity and detail.
• Hands‑on familiarity with Slack and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Experience designing or participating in code review, versioning, branching, or release workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or process‑documentation systems is a plus.
