Software Engineer II

About the role

Omnidian is building a sustainable future by managing solar and energy‑storage assets worldwide. As a Software Engineer II you will join the newly created Costa Rica hub and help shape the Asset Management Lifecycle platform that powers our residential and commercial solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver medium‑to‑large features for the Asset Management Lifecycle domain.
• Write clean, scalable code in Java/Kotlin for backend services and React/TypeScript for the frontend.
• Refactor existing codebases to reduce technical debt while adding new functionality.
• Maintain and enhance IoT‑connected asset management services, including bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Champion team processes such as sprint ceremonies, documentation, CI/CD pipelines, and code review standards.
• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate requirements into reliable software solutions.
• Provide proactive support to teammates, acting as a go‑to resource for technical challenges.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously within a distributed team.
• Commitment to high engineering standards, code quality, and continuous improvement.
