Senior QA Engineer - Remote

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to work remotely from Costa Rica. The role covers manual and automated testing of investor funding, payment processing, data flows and system integrations, with a focus on data validation, API testing and performance testing. The position requires 5+ years of experience and is open to candidates who can work during US Eastern Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute manual and automated testing for funding, payments, data flows and integrations.
• Build and maintain automated test suites with Python (pytest, Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Validate REST APIs, file-based integrations and data pipelines, and write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation and defect investigation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Run performance and load tests, and test responsive web apps across browsers, devices and screen sizes.
• Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to speed up test development and analysis, and build AI-assisted testing solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and stakeholders in Agile ceremonies and report defects and quality metrics.

Required profile

• 5+ years in QA covering manual and automated testing, with 3+ years in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to work during US Eastern Time business hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Python automation frameworks (pytest and/or Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript).
• Advanced SQL, REST API testing with Postman or code-based frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
• Performance and load testing with JMeter, k6 or Locust.
• Responsive web app testing across browsers and devices.
• Practical experience with AI-powered tools in testing workflows.

Preferred: lending, payments or FinTech experience, custom AI agent development, Jira and Confluence, file-based integration testing, and knowledge of financial data reconciliation and compliance.
