Senior Principal Data Analyst - Costa Rica

About the role

Cornerstone is hiring a Senior Principal Data Analyst for its Costa Rica hub, a hybrid position. The analyst is the strategic analytics lead for Cornerstone University, turning complex business and learning data into actionable recommendations for leaders. The role covers executive reporting, KPI design, data stewardship and predictive insights that improve operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design and maintenance of executive dashboards, scorecards and recurring business performance reporting.
• Define and maintain leading and lagging performance indicators with business leaders, including definitions, baselines and measurement methods.
• Develop advanced analyses, forecasts and predictive models to surface trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build and improve Tableau dashboards using Snowflake and other approved enterprise data sources.
• Steward data definitions, quality controls, lineage and documentation, and ensure reporting consistency.
• Partner with program, product, customer-facing and enablement stakeholders to link learning activity with readiness, adoption and business outcomes.
• Present findings and recommendations to executives and run ad hoc analyses to support decisions.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled automation for data preparation, quality checks and reporting, and retire unnecessary manual processes.
• Apply AI-assisted analytical methods with validation of source data, model assumptions, accuracy, privacy and human review.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, business analytics or a related field.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, defining KPIs and advising senior leaders.
• Strong data quality, analytical modeling, stakeholder partnership and communication skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated analysis and data-handling risks.
• Experience measuring learning, enablement, customer adoption or operational performance.
• Experience implementing AI-assisted analytics or reporting automation.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL, business intelligence and data visualization, with strong Excel.
• Tableau, Snowflake and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Predictive analytics, forecasting, statistical methods or data governance experience.
• Uses AI tools daily in their own work and can show an example of how AI changed their work.
