Functional Business Analyst - Energy & Utilities Practice

About the role

West Monroe is looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to join its Energy & Utilities Industry Practices. You will be staffed on a project and help teams identify, shape and deliver high-value transformation programs that meet clients' strategic business challenges. The role sits within the Utilities practice, which covers transformation from strategy through to implementation of asset management and field service technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Work with internal project teams and clients to implement processes and technology that support business value and efficiency
• Create new business processes with business owners
• Take part in client workshops on the future state of the industry, design future-state processes and requirements
• Gather detailed requirements
• Write client-ready communications that support decisions, report status, mitigate risk and resolve issues
• Help build project deliverables such as project plans, implementation plans, communication plans and financial models
• Work with engagement management to reduce project risk and interface with management at all levels, internally and with clients

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in a team-based environment, working directly with external clients and internal stakeholders
• Professional experience or knowledge in the energy or utilities industry
• Excellent communication in English with team members and clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced team environment and handle several concurrent projects

Required skills

• Creating client-facing content with Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
• Project management and leadership skills
