Senior Mobile & React Native Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mobile Developer designs and delivers a world-class mobile experience for a cross-platform consumer app used to manage appointments, track compensation, view health screening information and engage with service centers. The role is hands-on technical leadership: mentoring developers while contributing personally to the hardest technical decisions, and is measured partly on its contribution to a shorter, simpler in-center user journey.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the app on iOS and Android with React Native (or an equivalent cross-platform framework), including appointment scheduling, payment history, health questionnaires, push notifications and a center locator.
• Define mobile architecture patterns, component libraries and state management; set coding standards, performance benchmarks and security practices.
• Integrate with backend APIs, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication and third-party SDKs, and work with backend engineers on API contracts, versioning and offline-first patterns.
• Apply mobile security best practices (certificate pinning, secure storage, biometrics, app transport security) and ensure HIPAA and App Store/Play Store compliance.
• Build a mobile testing suite (unit tests, Detox/XCTest/Espresso, device-farm regression), manage releases and beta distribution, and set SLAs for crash-free sessions and cold-start latency.
• Use AI coding assistants, design for AI-enabled experiences, and coordinate with the AI/ML Product Engineer on AI operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of mobile development with production iOS and/or Android apps, recent hands-on mobile engineering within the last three years.
• Experience shipping mobile apps in a regulated environment (healthcare, life sciences, fintech) or a consumer-scale one, with willingness to learn HIPAA and data privacy requirements.
• Individual contributor role, not a path to people management.

• Preferred: Core ML / ML Kit / TensorFlow Lite, Sentry / Crashlytics, FCM/APNs, prior consumer health app experience
