Full Stack Engineer (Clojure/ClojureScript) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev is hiring a Full Stack Engineer (Clojure/ClojureScript) to take full ownership of features across the stack for a retail AI outfitting platform. The role spans database design, backend API development and frontend interfaces, within a team of experienced Clojure engineers. The platform connects with LLM APIs, coordinates multi-step AI workflows and supports semantic search across large product catalogs, serving hundreds of enterprise retailers and over 100 million monthly shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features covering database schema, backend logic and frontend interfaces
• Develop backend services that connect to LLM APIs to power AI-driven functionality
• Coordinate multi-step AI workflows using orchestration tooling
• Support retrieval and search pipelines enabling semantic search across the product catalog
• Make independent architectural and technical decisions in a fast-paced, ownership-driven team

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Solid command of Clojure and practical experience with ClojureScript
• Background in PostgreSQL and SQL schema design
• Experience working with LLM APIs in production, mainly calling and consuming them
• Familiarity with REST API design principles
• Advanced proficiency in English
