Senior Laboratory Technician – Microbiology

About the role

The Senior Laboratory Technician will perform routine and non‑routine microbiology testing to support product development and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The role involves data entry, sample collection, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform microbiology tests such as D‑value, B&F, FETS, glut, TLS, antimicrobial and sterility assays following SOPs.
• Enter test data into laboratory electronic systems and maintain traceable records.
• Collect environmental samples from cleanrooms and support validation activities under supervision.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance and assist in laboratory investigations.
• Train and coach junior technicians on new procedures.

Required profile

• Technical or Diploma degree in Laboratory Science, Microbiology or related field with at least 3 years laboratory experience.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Microbiology testing methods (D‑value, B&F, FETS, glut, TLS, antimicrobial, sterility).
• Proficiency with MS Office and analytical software such as ChemStation or Empower.
• Knowledge of QSR, FDA and ISO regulations.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices.
