Senior Fullstack Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

Proxify is seeking a Senior Fullstack Ruby on Rails Developer to join a high‑growth client team, driving the full application lifecycle and delivering robust backend features alongside a highly interactive frontend experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement clean, test‑driven features across both backend and frontend layers.
• Profile and optimise slow queries, eliminate N+1 bugs and improve frontend rendering for low response times.
• Participate in peer code reviews, champion idiomatic Ruby and security best practices.
• Act as a technical sounding board for product and design teams.
• Assist in maintaining deployment workflows for zero‑downtime releases.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production experience with Ruby on Rails (Rails 6/7) and modern Ruby 3.x.
• Strong proficiency with frontend assets in Rails, using Hotwire (Turbo/Stimulus) or SPA frameworks like React.js or Vue.js.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, complex ActiveRecord queries and migrations.
• Extensive experience with Sidekiq and Redis for background jobs.
• Habit of writing maintainable test suites with RSpec, Capybara or FactoryBot.
