Senior Data & AI Engineer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior Data & AI Engineer to design, build and maintain AI-powered applications and backend services, as well as scalable data pipelines and architectures. The position is remote and open to candidates in Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AI-powered applications and backend services using Python, TypeScript and AWS, including agentic and LLM-powered solutions.
• Build scalable end-to-end data ingestion and transformation pipelines with Databricks, DBT, Apache Spark and related technologies.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures, covering modeling, governance, data quality, monitoring and observability across AI and data platforms.
• Work with Engineering, Product, Data and Business teams to deliver production-ready solutions while driving technical decisions, engineering practices, scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.
• Experience designing APIs, backend services, workflows and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience developing AI or LLM-powered products in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, governance and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in fast-paced environments.
