Senior Analyst, Accounting (Temporal)

About the role

This position is a Senior Analyst in Accounting (Temporal) focused on analysing financial results, supporting forecasts and budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. It involves coaching lower-level team members and preparing month-end close and tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret complex monthly financial results to identify issues and recommend course corrections for business leaders
• Analyse weekly and monthly trends (e.g. expenses, fringe benefits) with business leaders to update quarterly forecasts and budgets
• Advise business leaders on the financial impact of proposed process changes
• Train, coach and give feedback to lower-level team members
• Draw findings from trend reports, synthesise information and create presentations for management
• Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies and recommend enhancements and upgrades
• Prepare and process month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reports, and prepare timely month-end closing including statutory annual reports
• Prepare, file and process annual tax declarations (VAT, income, sales and local taxes)
• Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of regulations such as the Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP, SEC and IRS to explain positions to internal and external auditors
• May take part in or lead process improvement projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance, or a locally recognised skilled certification
• 5 years of previous related experience
• Accounting, forecasting, planning or expense analysis experience preferred
• Experience in an international company preferred

Required skills

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel; ERP experience (JDE, Oracle, SP) preferred
• Substantial knowledge of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines
• Understanding of international accounting principles (U.S. GAAP, IFRS), local GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
