Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San José, Costa Rica. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage complex accounting processes, and support financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or NIIF standards.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee general accounting functions and maintain internal controls to meet Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of Costa Rican tax regulations, auditing requirements, and Free Trade Zone laws.
• Manage and analyze cash flow, providing insights and recommendations.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure data integrity in accounting software.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, treasury, cash flow management, or finance.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, NIIF) and tax regulations.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
