Senior Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

The Senior Accountant will own end‑to‑end accounting activities for FOAA Digital, ensuring month‑end close integrity while acting as the accounting subject‑matter expert for new business and system launches. This position blends operational execution with technology coordination to safeguard financial accuracy from daily processing through production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close tasks, including sub‑ledger closing, general‑ledger reconciliations, balance‑sheet analysis, and financial reporting.
• Prepare month‑over‑month variance analysis for P&L and balance‑sheet accounts and communicate drivers to stakeholders.
• Lead accounting validation for new system implementations, coordinating UAT, test case execution, and discrepancy resolution.
• Review and validate chart‑of‑accounts configurations, journal entry flows, and accounting records prior to production launch.
• Collaborate with technology, operations, and finance teams to resolve testing findings and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of transactional accounting experience with month‑end close, sub‑ledger management, and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
• Experience supporting financial system implementation projects, including UAT coordination and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ICFR, and controllership standards.
• Ability to work full‑time onsite at Amazon offices and communicate effectively in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with Oracle Financial Applications (GL, AP, AR) and Blackline.
• Proficiency in UAT execution, test case documentation, and discrepancy tracking.
• Understanding of intercompany transactions and chart‑of‑accounts impacts.
