Salesforce Engineer

About the role

A client of South is looking for a Salesforce Engineer to design, build and maintain solutions on a mature Salesforce platform. The role works with stakeholders to understand business goals, define requirements and deliver reliable technical solutions. It suits a hands-on engineer combining strong Apex and Lightning Web Component experience with practical knowledge of Salesforce administration and architecture. The position is open to candidates residing in Latin America and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL and other platform capabilities.
• Translate business goals and stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements.
• Design scalable data models, automations, integrations and security controls.
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party systems.
• Improve existing implementations and simplify legacy automation.
• Maintain platform configuration, permissions, packages and other administrative components.
• Troubleshoot production issues and protect platform reliability and data quality.
• Manage changes through source control, code review, automated testing and controlled deployments.
• Document architecture, integrations and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions; 5 or more years preferred.
• Production experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience building REST API or other system integrations.
• Ability to turn incomplete business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
