Remote Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to provide remote support to attorneys in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and real‑estate matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines independently.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and process wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other advanced estate‑planning documents.
- Prepare and coordinate real‑estate documentation, including deeds and related legal filings.
- Draft probate and trust‑administration filings such as petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, creditor claims, and proposed distributions.
- Support estate and trust administration by preparing fiduciary documents, court pleadings, and required legal filings.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for probate proceedings, court filings, tax filings, hearings, and other legal requirements.
- Collaborate with attorneys on tax filings, trustee succession, certificates of trust, and settlement agreements.
- Assist with contested probate and trust matters, providing litigation support, discovery coordination, and hearing preparation.
- Gather financial, tax, and asset information for estate and trust administration.
- Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, advisors, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain organized client and matter files, record billable time, and participate in team meetings and process‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience supporting estate planning, probate, or trust administration.
- Strong knowledge of probate court procedures, trust administration, and legal documentation.
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles is a plus.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Word)
- Adobe Acrobat (preferred)
- Experience with case‑management systems
- Familiarity with document‑management platforms
- Proficiency in electronic filing systems
