R2R Senior Associate Accountant (SAP S/HANA required)

About the role

The R2R Senior Associate Accountant supports the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while complying with internal and external requirements. The role involves journal entry preparation, balance‑sheet and P&L reconciliation, month‑end and year‑end close, and assistance with financial statements and audit documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a process expert, resolving complex accounting and technical issues and ensuring data integrity across the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) cycle.
• Drive process optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives, proposing and implementing solutions using best practices, root‑cause analysis, standardisation, and automation tools such as RPA or workflow systems.
• Maintain strict compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, SOX controls and audit guidelines, preparing and validating financial transactions and reports.
• Lead or support onboarding and training of new team members by developing materials and facilitating knowledge‑transfer sessions.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives including system migrations, ERP upgrades, transformation programmes and global/regional financial support activities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and related documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting professional with strong technical expertise in the Record‑to‑Report process.
• Proven experience with SAP S/HANA (or SAP S/4HANA) and familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process‑improvement projects and train colleagues.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
