Business Analyst - Controlling (GFS Americas)

About the role
AstraZeneca’s Global Financial Services (GFS) in San José is looking for a Controlling Business Analyst to support month‑end financial management, balance‑sheet governance, SOX controls and external reporting for commercial regions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead month‑end close activities, including calendar management and manual voucher approvals.
- Perform balance‑sheet variance analysis, account reconciliations and financial consolidation.
- Prepare income‑statement figures, manage the accounting cycle and support external and internal audits.
- Own SOX/financial control framework and act as control owner.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years experience in accounting, controlling or FP&A.
- Recognised finance or accounting qualification (Bachelor, Licentiate or Master).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global, cross‑cultural teams.
Required skills
- SAP (FIN module) proficiency.
- Business Warehouse (BW) and advanced Excel skills.
- PowerPoint for executive reporting.
