Payroll, Time & Benefits Specialist

About the role

Join Roche's People Support Solutions team in San José, Costa Rica, providing payroll, time, absence management and benefits advisory for Colombia. You will ensure compliance with Colombian labor, tax and social security regulations while delivering high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute accurate HR system data maintenance, payroll processing, tax, social security, time and benefits administration in line with Colombian law.
• Provide end‑to‑end customer service and resolve inquiries related to pay, time and benefits for Colombia.
• Manage, process and reconcile mass upload files, monitor Workday‑to‑vendor data flows and resolve integration errors.
• Partner with P&C Chapters and local support teams, maintain knowledge documentation and guide on Colombian payroll processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, statutory filings and audit readiness, managing stakeholder relationships.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, projects and operational support according to KPIs.
• Collaborate with regional and global PSS peers to deliver consistent, reliable service.

Required profile

• Currently located and legally authorized to work in Costa Rica.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in payroll services, time and benefits administration, preferably in an SSC environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of the full Colombian payroll cycle, labor law, tax and social security requirements.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation) with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multicultural matrix environment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
