Order to Cash Senior Analyst (Fixed Term)

About the role

Merck & Co., Inc. is hiring a fixed-term Order to Cash Senior Analyst in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Order Management Specialist manages ad hoc customer requests and owns the end-to-end order process, from order capture through fulfillment, delivery confirmation and post-delivery support, coordinating internally with supply chain, inventory, logistics and billing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process sales orders for wholesalers, distributors, retail chains, hospitals and physician offices in a timely, accurate and compliant way
• Keep customers informed about their orders and communicate daily with them, including by phone and with local business partners
• Coordinate with channel development and supply chain on messaging, reports and follow-up, and plan trade activity for month, quarter and year-end
• Update SOPs and WI's, including SOX controls, and check and release credit/debit notes
• Enter and generate sales orders and returns/non-return credit notes, and analyse new orders on ad hoc request
• Resolve claims and issues, anticipate client needs and provide excellent service
• Prepare audit documentation, apply internal compliance policies and develop reports for Supply Chain, Channel Development and Finance stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance
• At least 2 years of experience in a finance or supply chain department of a multinational company is desired
• Order management experience is desired
• English speaking and writing, and Spanish written and spoken

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
