MES Consultant – Manufacturing Systems Engineer

About the role

Abbott is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Systems Engineer to lead MES and FTPC support within its regulated life‑sciences manufacturing sites. The role focuses on troubleshooting, system configuration, and continuous improvement of production lines in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for MES and FTPC systems in life‑sciences manufacturing.
• Analyze application code, system logs, and SQL queries to resolve production issues.
• Configure and maintain manufacturing lines and workflows within FTPC or comparable MES platforms.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and IT teams to ensure stable production operations.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives, root‑cause analysis, incident management, and CAPA activities.
• Participate in system upgrades, deployments, testing, and validation while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting MES platforms in a regulated (life‑sciences) environment.
• Strong background with FTPC (Rockwell) or similar MES applications.
• Deep knowledge of SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with code analysis and debugging in manufacturing applications.
• Understanding of manufacturing business processes, production operations, and line configuration.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
